Micro-needling, also called collagen induction therapy (CIT), is a clinical treatment to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, minimize pore size and induce skin tightening by stimulating collagen production which promotes cell turnover, for a more youthful complexion. This is done by applying a hyaluronic acid potion to your skin and using a medical-grade device to create thousands of controlled microscopic wounds across the skin which creates an injury response by your brain. Your own body will send all the healing cells to rebuild and heal the treated areas. This results in an increased production of collagen creating an overall improvement in skin texture, tone and laxity. This is also an effective treatment for scars related to past acne, piercings, and injuries. It is recommended to get 3 treatments at a 4-6 week interval to see maximum effectiveness. Everyone’s skin is different so there may be a 1- 2 day limited activity with a micro-needling treatment. 

Contraindicated for people with:
-active lesions related to acne, rosacea, infection, or cold sores.
-open wounds
-eczema and/ or psoriasis 
-actinic keratosis and other non-melanoma or melanoma skin cancer

Pre-treatment Recommendations 
-no dermal filler placed within 30 days prior to treatment
-must be post 2 weeks of any Botox or other neuro modulator injections
-no prolonged sun exposure or sunburns on the area to be treated within 2 days prior
-12 hours prior to treatment, do not use any Retin-A products or auto immune therapies or products
-day of treatment clean skin, no makeup if possible 

Post-treatment Care
-0-1 days no sun exposure, swimming or exercising 
-0-3 days use a gentle cleanser, and chemical free SPF with little to no make up
-0-5 days hydrate skin as needed with provided Hyaluranic acid potion
-0-7 days do NOT use any active ingredient skin care products including benzoyl peroxide and Retin-A and avoid prolonged direct UV exposure (sunlight, tanning beds, etc.)
